Carver Lake Park
Carver Lake Park is located in the City of Woodbury, Minnesota. The park is a 150-acre natural resource based park with woods, steep lakeshore bluffs and a 40-acre lake. Solutions 101 worked with the City of Woodbury to install a 549' wooden boardwalk and fishing pier platform.

Cascade Trail
Cascade Falls is located in the village of Osceola along the St. Croix River. The St. Croix has carved out a deep gorge into which the much smaller Osceola Creek falls. A set of stairs located right off the main road into Osceola leads you down into the gorge and to the base of the falls. The trail continues to the shores of the St. Croix. Solutions 101 created several hundred feet of boardwalk and replaced an existing set of stairs on the trail that leads from Cascade Falls to the St. Croix River. The location of the site posed several challenges, one being site access. Through innovative thinking, Solutions 101 was able to get the materials needed at the site and install the boardwalk without the use of conventional, large, construction equipment or added cost to the Village of Osceola.

Ulao Creek Habitat Enhancement
Ulao Creek has been impacted by both urban and agricultural development. The current straight channel lacks flow and has resulted in very limited habitat diversity within the channel. The Ulao Creek Habitat Enhancement project's main objective is to improve fish passage and enhance the ecological functions of Ulao Creek. This will be accomplished through construction of a new stream channel, by filling the existing channel, and by creating additional ponds and wetlands adjacent to the stream with additional vegetation. The creation of a new meandering channel and placing woody debris for habitat enhancements will create better conditions for northern pike spawning. Controlling invasive plant species, enhancing native plant species through additional plantings and increasing wetland habitat diversity by creating additional ponds will create a better environment for waterfowl, shorebirds, bats, amphibians, reptiles, and other species that consider Ulao Creek home.
Campbellsport Dam Removal
Solutions 101 LLC completed the dam removal of the Mill Street Dam located on the Milwaukee River in the Village of Campbellsport. The Mill Street Dam was chosen for removal because it did not meet spillway capacity and was deemed to be unsafe. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources cites several benefits to removing dams: reconnection of important seasonal fish habitat, improved water clarity, normalized sediment and energy transport and improved biological diversity.
Givens Farm
Givens Farm is a private property nestled among 80 acres on the Niagra Escarpment in Hortonville, Wisconsin. The property is the former Deans Foods Basin site. The vision of the property owners is to maintain and enhance the natural beauty of the escarpment. Givens Farm has been enhanced with the creation of a pond fed by artesian springs, planting of an orchard that includes apple, pear, cherry and plum trees. The property boasts an abundance of walking trails that wind through the natural landscape, which has been improved with prairie plantings to attract and retain wildlife.
Newburg Dam Removal
The Newburg Dam Removal project is part of the Ozaukee Fish Passage Program that was put in place to study and provide a means for improving seasonal fish habitat. The removal of the dam would enable fish and other aquatic life to move freely in the Milwaukee River between Grafton and West Bend for the first time since the 1840's. In addition to opening a section of river to the free passage of fish, the dam removal would yield significant water quality benefits. The dam holds back water in a shallow, muddy impoundment. As the water warms in summer, nutrients can spur blooms of nuisance algae and oxygen levels can drop so low that fish die. Solutions 101 will enhance this area by removing the dam, remove sediment from upstream of the dam, stabilizing the banks of the Milwaukee River to avoid further erosion, and create multi-use trails along the river banks.
Town Center Riverfront Park - Phase I
Town Center Riverfront Park is located in the City of Mequon and is a joint project of the Thiensville-Mequon Rotary Club and the City of Mequon. The City of Mequon is located on the shores of Lake Michigan just north of Milwaukee, Mequon boasts majestic bluffs, stately homes, lush farmland and expansive open space. The Riverfront Park is located along the beautiful banks of the Milwaukee River. The project consists reshaping the contours to provide better access to the river, construction of a fieldstone retaining wall, an asphalt path and a boardwalk path that will wind between the north and south ends of the park.
VFW Riverwalk Access
The VFW River Access project is located in the Village of Mishicot. Mishicot is a friendly little village with approximately 1,400 people located on the beautiful landscape of Manitowoc County, in East Central Wisconsin. The River Access project will give visitors of the VFW Park river access to an observation deck that overlooks the East Twin River. Visitors will enjoy easy access on a footpath that winds down the hill to the river flanked by a beautiful block retaining wall.
Pond Excavation
Solutions 101 was contracted by a private landowner to create access to a future home building site, level the site for natural prairie plantings and to excavate a pond on the property.
